About Me

Hi! I’m Trevor Dickerson. Thanks for stopping by my personal blog, Complex Simplicity. I started it as a high school senior in early 2007 to post ramblings on life, the latest technology, news, social media, and to keep family and friends in the loop as to what’s going on in my life. I hope you enjoy it, please feel free to contact me!

I was born and raised in the West End (Short Pump area) of Richmond, Virginia. I founded, edited, and published the award-winning online community news, events, and entertainment newsmagazine Downtown Short Pump from 2004-2012, a subsidiary of my web design and social media management firm RVA MediaWorks, which I wound down in 2012 to focus on new endeavors.

I love dining out and finding new places to eat around Richmond. I could eat sushi every meal and never get tired of it. I singing karaoke any chance I get (you can usually find me at Sticky Rice on Tuesdays and New York Deli on Thursdays) and am always up for an adventure.

I hate making plans, which drives some people crazy, but some of the most fun I’ve had in life has come as a result of doing something on a whim. Spontaneity is the spice of life!

I’m a follower of Christ and my faith is very important to me. I believe that God has a perfect plan and purpose for everyone’s life, even if we don’t know what it is at the time, or why we’re going through a particular experience– especially if it’s a negative one.
