Take it from me... your thoughts are very normal. Just go with your gut. Also, if you'd like to have a media career, it's possible (just a bit harder today). It's even harder today, but obtainable... especially if you aim high. It takes hard work, and dedication. Most begin such a career at your point in life. A common theme of the most successful: study hard, focus, invest a lot of time into your career aspirations, and make it fun. In many cases, this has been a sacrifice in monetary funds. One of my very good friends made it to the top in the voice over world, and will admit he doesn't have the greatest voice. I observed his career almost from the beginning. He's very driven, and has a "WILL DO" attitude. Today, he voices on many networks, movie trailers, and can be heard all over the world. As for school, go where your heart takes you. As for your website... I suggest you pound out a unique story or two per day and hit the pavement looking for stories, and making friends with those who can provide you content (county officials, developers, etc). Hyper-local websites offer content you can't get from the larger local publications. People are looking for such content. Also, don't rely on others to run the site... use them to supplement, and enhance. With all this said... read the above again. Can you juggle all of this at once (job, school, website business, media career, social life). Focus on school, choose a passion, and stick with it. It might take many years, but with persistence should bear satisfaction, and everything should fall into place along the way.

I wish you good luck!
