It's great and all that a few thousand tourists will be able to get to their rental houses faster in the summer...but then again what about all of the residents of buxton and hatteras that will have no access to the mainland? Sure we could build a 700 million dollar bridge to alleviate traffic, but whats the point if hundreds of people are cut off from the mainland except by ferry and numerous more killed when the Bonner Bridge collapses? The Bonner Bridge is rated 2 out of 100 at the last check, the bridge that collapsed a few months ago that was all over the news was rater at 50 out of 100. Bonner Bridge was built in 1963, with a 30 year max lifetime, if we don't stop worrying about saving time versus worrying about saving lives we will all regret it.

Hi, I know that this was written in February but I was looking up a CD cover on Google and I got this page. I believe that this decade is being hailed (in most magazines, at least) as, oh so inspiredly, the noughties. I laughed out loud remembering, although I was fairly young at the time, some of the expressions on your CD. The 90s truly were a great decade :)

Take it from me... your thoughts are very normal. Just go with your gut. Also, if you'd like to have a media career, it's possible (just a bit harder today). It's even harder today, but obtainable... especially if you aim high. It takes hard work, and dedication. Most begin such a career at your point in life. A common theme of the most successful: study hard, focus, invest a lot of time into your career aspirations, and make it fun. In many cases, this has been a sacrifice in monetary funds. One of my very good friends made it to the top in the voice over world, and will admit he doesn't have the greatest voice. I observed his career almost from the beginning. He's very driven, and has a "WILL DO" attitude. Today, he voices on many networks, movie trailers, and can be heard all over the world. As for school, go where your heart takes you. As for your website... I suggest you pound out a unique story or two per day and hit the pavement looking for stories, and making friends with those who can provide you content (county officials, developers, etc). Hyper-local websites offer content you can't get from the larger local publications. People are looking for such content. Also, don't rely on others to run the site... use them to supplement, and enhance. With all this said... read the above again. Can you juggle all of this at once (job, school, website business, media career, social life). Focus on school, choose a passion, and stick with it. It might take many years, but with persistence should bear satisfaction, and everything should fall into place along the way.

I wish you good luck!

Ya.. I can't stand idiots who get mad for no good reason. Or, assholes who judge you when you're having a good time and doing something a little out of the norm. I hate people who judge me.

That sounds awesome Trevor. I can't wait to read more about what you find out. I love history, and it always intrigues me when people want to dig deeper to find the truth and share it. Good luck.
